Deputy schools chancellor ends long DOE career

Laura Rodriguez, the deputy chancellor for students with disabilities and English language learners, has resigned, the New York Times’ Schoolbook reported. Over her 34 years at the Department of Education, Rodriguez held superintendent positions in the Bronx and directed bilingual education programs. The new deputy chancellor, Corinne Rello-Anselmi, has also served the department for more than three decades.
