How bad is the exclusion at charter schools?

Reuters put out an article last Friday about how many of America’s 6,000 charter schools are excluding students they don’t want, for instance by setting grueling admissions processes and requiring parents to clock volunteer hours at the school. Today, education writer Alexander Russo weighed in on the article as well as the National Alliance for Public Charter Schools’ response to the article.
