An NYPD program to stem violence has cops investing personally in teenagers

In a new NYPD program, officers make house calls, schools visits and monitor facebook pages of teenagers, the New York Times reports. The program, inspired by Operation Ceasefire, is meant to improve the relationship between communities and the police and stop teenagers who are likely to get into trouble before the trouble starts. It has seen mixed levels of success.
