Anthony Weiner, the former Queens congressman who resigned after a sexting scandal, has been in the news of late after he declared that he might run for mayor. In a policy document he released this week to “test the electoral waters,” Weiner curiously said that one of his top education priorities is to “streamline the process of removing troublesome kids from the classroom,” according to GothamSchools.
Many of the other education goals Weiner outlined during a 2005 mayoral run, including increased teacher salaries and adopting a new curriculum, have been accomplished for him by current mayor Michael Bloomberg’s administration.
One wonders whether he’d include social media education in the city’s schools.
