In response to a series of New York Times stories which have called into question the zero-tolerance discipline policies at Success Academy. The founder, Eva Moskowitz, defends the strict practices at her charter school network and criticizes the Times’ reporting.
Moskowitz claims that media outlets like the Times are wasting their investigative resources on one network of schools that educates “just 1% of New York City’s students.” She argues that little attention is paid to the perspective of parents who know from personal experience the necessity of strict discipline policies.
