An increasing amount of students and teachers are speaking out against standardized testing across the U.S. according to recent media reports. From teachers in Seattle’s Garfield High School, who voted unanimously to refuse to administer the state’s Measures of Academic Progress, or MAP Test, to students in Portland, Oregon who have launched an opt-out campaign against mandated standardized tests in their state, The Huffington Post has compiled a list of examples that represent a growing movement against high-stakes testing.
