Memo Suggests Former DC Schools Chancellor Michelle Rhee Had Knowledge of Possible Cheating at District Schools

Following the indictment in Atlanta of 34 public school employees and former School Superintendent Beverly A. Hall in a cheating scandal, PBS education reporter John Merrow has published “Michelle Rhee’s Reign of Error” on his blog on Learning Matters. The post suggests former DC Schools Chancellor, Michelle Rhee, was aware of possible cheating happening at DC Public Schools. Merrow’s reporting includes a link to a confidential memo, in which an outside data consultant warned Rhee of the possible cheating behaviors of school employees.
