New York Approves War Depiction In Third Grade Textbooks

Books depicting war in the Middle East and Afghanistan have been approved as part of recommended English curricula for state third to fifth graders, the New York Post reports. While some educators question when children should be exposed to adult themes, education officials emphasized that principals have final say over what books enter classrooms.
