At a press conference today at the Bloomingdale Family Program on the Upper West Side, several parents announced that they would be boycotting the high-stakes standardized testing, which begins in schools in the city and state tomorrow, by opting their children out. Six parents – unaffiliated with any organization – ran the press conference. They will submit a letter that says their children refuse to take the test tomorrow.
