UK Classroom Unions Vote ‘No Confidence’ in Education Secretary Michael Gove

At the annual meeting of the National Union of Teachers, one of the largest classroom unions in the UK, delegates passed a vote of no confidence in Education Secretary, Michael Gove, the Guardian reports. The union is asking Gove to resign, claiming in the motion that he has left teachers demoralized. A week before, the Association of Teachers and Lecturers – for the first time in the union’s history – also passed a motion of no confidence in the education secretary.
