New National Guidelines To Bring Changes in Science Education

Educators introduced new national guidelines for teaching science on Tuesday with a firm belief in educating students about evolution and climate change even as early as middle school. The guidelines, referred to as the Next Generation Science Standards, call for teaching science through a holistic approach such as the case-study method and even getting rid of traditional high school courses like biology and chemistry, according to The New York Times. So far, 26 states have seriously considered adopting the guidelines.
