Giovanni Classen, 21, was raised in East Harlem by a single mother along with three older brothers. By the time he was 17, he had dropped out of high school. And by the time he was 18, he was a father. Then, at age 19, he became a single father, raising his son, Ezio, on his own after his girlfriend left them and never came back.
Classen is determined to get his life on track. He is enrolled in City University of New York, focusing on finance, and he said he wants to give his son, now 20 months old, a better life than he had growing up.
